Greek Firm Launches Autonomous One-Way Weapons for Coastal Defense
Greece-based Delian Alliance Industries has announced its new line of autonomous one-way effectors for coastal defense: the Interceptigon series.
The first of two platforms is the fixed-wing Interceptigon-A unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Designed for use in remote areas and complex terrain, it blends into surrounding nature before launching a high-speed attack against surface targets in land or air.
Meanwhile, the stealthy Interceptigon-N unmanned surface vessel (USV) avoids early detection by hiding on the seabed. It is best deployed in littoral zones, narrow waterways, and near ports to launch surprise attacks on naval assets.
The quickly deployable and attritable effectors, featuring kinetic energy and explosive payloads, can operate independently or in coordination with other drones to form a swarm.
“We are not in the business of building traditional weapons,” said company CEO Dimitrios Kottas.
“We’re building autonomous denial systems for sovereign nations defending their territorial integrity or exclusive economic zones that don’t have the luxury of strategic depth or time. Interceptigon is about readiness, resilience, and sovereignty.”

Interceptigon Effectors
Delian noted that the Interceptigon line is a low-cost and scalable solution for anti-access/area denial strategies, suitable for areas like the Nordic region, the Baltic, the Aegean, and Southeast Asia.
The Interceptigon-A UAV can operate in GPS-denied environments as it is equipped with OSIRIS, a proprietary navigation module leveraging visual map matching and odometry.
According to the company, OSIRIS has a navigation error of less than 0.1 percent, even in the most contested electronic warfare scenarios.
With a payload weighing 371 grams (13 ounces), the UAV can cruise at speeds of 100 kilometers (62 miles) per hour to a range of 40 kilometers (24 miles).
On the other hand, the Interceptigon-N USV carries a 70-kilogram (154-pound) payload and maintains a sustained speed of 45 knots (83 kilometers/51 miles per hour) for a range of 30 kilometers (18 miles).
The platforms are undergoing development and testing for their final specifications throughout this year.
